RULES OF PLAY |
| All Fox Hollow Men's Club events are played under the strict rules of the United State Golf Association. It is all players responsibility to know these rules. The only exception to these rules are the Local Rules listed below. All disputes concerning rules will be decided by the pro shop personnel. |

LOCAL RULES |
| LR-1 Stones in bunkers are movable
obstructions (Rule 24-1 applies).
LR-2 Drop Area: If a ball finds water hazard marked with yellow stakes on hole #3 on the original front nine, proceed to drop area on island. This is the only "drop area" on the entire course. Any other drop areas you find are for other leagues or tournaments. LR-3 Power Lines: If a ball strikes the power line on hole #9 on the original back nine, the stroke must be canceled and replayed, without penalty (See Rule 20-5). LR-4 Water Hazards - Provisional Ball: Permitting play of a provisional ball for a ball which may be in a water hazard of such character that if the original ball is not found, there is reasonable evidence that it is lost in the water hazard and it would be impracticable to determine whether the ball is in the hazard or to do so would unduly delay play. The ball shall be played provisionally under any of the available options under Rule 26-1. In such a case, if a provisional ball is played and the original ball is in the water hazard, the player may play the original ball as it lies or continue with the provisional ball in play, but he may not proceed under Rule 26-1 with regard to the original ball. LR-5 Out of Bounds Additional Definitions: Effective June 17, 2001, the following areas are defined OUT OF BOUNDS in absence of white posts: * All HARD SURFACES of roadways and parking lots
are considered out of bounds. |

HANDICAP |
| Players must have an official USGA handicap to compete in
net events. The player must have at least five (5) 18 hole rounds
posted to receive an official handicap.
Players' individual scores from all Fox Hollow Men's Club events will automatically be posted to the GHIN handicap system for each player. All scores played outside of FHMC events should be posted by the player if played between the dates of April 15 and October 15 (if played in winter states). Score can be posted online, or at Fox Hollow. Ask the Pro Shop for help with this. |
| USGA RULES Rule 6-2(a) “Before starting a match in a handicap competition, the players should determine from one another their respective handicaps. If a player begins the match having declared a higher handicap which would affect the number of strokes given or received, he shall be disqualified: otherwise, the player shall play off the declared handicap.” Decision 6-2(a)-1. “There is no penalty if players fail to determine one another’s handicaps before starting a match. If this results in one of them not receiving a handicap stroke at a hole at which he is entitled to receive one, the hole stands as played.” |
