The Alternate Shot event will be a competition format in which 2-person teams alternate hitting each of two (2) balls. Both the first and second player tee off from the WHITE TEES putting two (2) balls into play.  Each of the players will hit the second shot of the opposite player’s ball (or tee shot), the third shots are again alternated, and so on until each ball is completely holed out (no gimmies).  Each ball must be played as it lies and may not be exchanged or improved in any way.  The team may decide to “pick up” one of the balls but must complete the other ball to score the hole.  Once each ball (or one of the balls) is holed, the team determines the best of the AVERAGE NET scores from the two balls played.  The best AVERAGE NET score is then added to the card for the hole.  Play continues for all remaining holes until 9 holes are completed. 

 Average Net:  Players add together 18 hole Handicaps, divide by 4 and round up.

Only one score is recorded on the score card for each 2-person team.
