NOTICE
TO MATCH PLAY PARTICIPANTS
If you
continue past the second round, you are not eligible to play in the other scheduled event.
For the match, the higher handicap player will receive the number of strokes that is
the difference between the 2 players' handicaps.
The match is won by the player who is leading by a number of holes
greater
than the number of holes remaining to be played.
The higher handicap
player receives one half of the difference between the 18 hole course handicaps of the two
players: the lower handicap player plays from scratch.
Example: A player with an 18 hole course handicap of 17 shall receive
two strokes from a player with a 18 hole course handicap of 13.
He receives them on the holes allocated as the first two handicap-stroke holes.
If one half the difference includes a .5, then round down.
I.E. Player A handicap is 12 and player B handicap is 5, then
player A would receive 3 strokes.
How to Decide Ties: Ties
will be decided by a chip off overseen by a member of the Golf Shop.
However, if the players agree at the start of the round and the Golf Shop agrees to let
you continue play ties can be played off hole by hole until one
player wins a hole.
The winning player should please enter the result on the bulletin
board after play.
